Visit the Beautiful Island Of Bryher, Isles Of Scilly
Reaching Bryher for a day trip involves a two-stage journey by sea. The crossing commences on the passenger ferry Scillonian III, which runs from Penzance to St Mary’s. From the harbour at St Mary’s, visitors transfer to a smaller inter-island boat for the final leg to Bryher, a route that offers views of the archipelago’s uninhabited islands and clear waters.
The island is characterised by its topographical contrasts, packing diverse landscapes into a small area.
The western coast is exposed to the Atlantic, with rugged cliffs and the aptly named Hell Bay, while the eastern side features calm, sandy beaches like Rushy Bay.
The island is small enough to navigate on foot, with a coastal path connecting local amenities, including the Hell Bay Hotel and various independent stalls selling local produce.
