Fly to or from the Isles of Scilly
If you’re heading to the Isles of Scilly, flying from Land’s End with Skybus is the quickest and most scenic way to get there. The flight only takes about 15 minutes, and on a clear day, the views over the Cornish coast and out to the islands are pretty amazing.
Land’s End Airport is small and easy to get to, with parking just a short walk from the terminal. There are also park and ride services along with plenty of taxis that will take you to the airport. It’s a really straightforward check-in process, no long queues or stress and the team there are always friendly and helpful. The planes are small (you’ll likely be on a Twin Otter), so it’s a bit more personal than your average flight.
It’s definitely part of the adventure, and a really fun way to start or end a trip to the islands.
JV’s Top Tip – If you are planning to take the flight one way I would suggest taking the flight back from St Mary’s to Lands End, you will see more of the islands and the mainland of Cornwall if you do.
