Opened by Rick and Jill Stein in 1975, The Seafood Restaurant is the flagship of the Stein empire and an undisputed icon of the Cornish culinary scene. Situated directly on the quay in Padstow, this world-renowned establishment is famous for establishing an international reputation for the freshest fish and shellfish, often landed just steps from the front door. The menu at The Seafood Restaurant is a celebration of the Atlantic’s bounty, blending classic French techniques with flavors inspired by Rick’s global travels.
- The Menu: Expect legendary signature dishes such as Lobster Thermidor, Turbot Hollandaise, and Indonesian Seafood Curry. The daily-changing menu reflects the best of the local morning catch, from Porthilly oysters and deep-sea langoustines to wild sea bass and Dover sole.
- The Seafood Bar: At the heart of the restaurant is the walk-in seafood bar. It’s an interactive, “chef’s table” experience where you can watch the team shuck fresh oysters and assemble platters of sashimi and shellfish while enjoying a glass of chilled Camel Valley sparkling wine.

Accessibility
The Seafood Restaurant is widely considered one of the most accessible dining spots in Padstow. The main entrance features ramp access, and the spacious, open-plan ground floor is level throughout, easily accommodating wheelchair users.
