Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen
Housed within a Grade II listed, 15th-century fisherman’s cottage at the very heart of Port Isaac, Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen offers one of the most intimate and acclaimed dining experiences in Cornwall.
This Michelin-starred gem, part of Nathan Outlaw’s celebrated portfolio, focuses on a unique small-plate concept where the menu is dictated entirely by the morning’s catch and the local tides.
With its low-beamed ceilings and views directly over the harbour slipway, the restaurant captures the rugged, salt-washed charm of this famous fishing village.
Dining & Cuisine
Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen moves away from traditional courses, instead serving a selection of original seafood dishes that arrive at the table as they are prepared.
- The Menu: The restaurant serves a fixed-price set menu of small plates designed to showcase the diversity of local species. Expect refined yet simple combinations like monkfish karaage, cured brill with citrus, or red mullet with seasonal garnish. Sustainability is the core ethos, with fish sourced from local inshore boats.
- The Experience: With only eight tables, the atmosphere is incredibly personal and relaxed. It’s about high-end gastronomy without the formality—a place where the quality of the ingredients is the undisputed star of the show.
- The Kitchen: Led by Head Chef Tim Barnes, the team works in a compact space to produce bold, clean flavors that have maintained a Michelin star since 2014.
- Drink Pairings: A carefully curated wine list and a selection of local Cornish beers and ciders are designed to complement the delicate and varied flavors of the seafood menu.

Accessibility
Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen is located in a historic 15th-century building at the bottom of the village, which presents some physical constraints. While the dining room is situated on the ground floor, the entrance involves a standard-width door and the interior space is quite restricted. The on-site bathroom is small and is not wheelchair accessible. Due to the steep descent into the harbor area of Port Isaac, visitors with limited mobility are advised to plan their arrival carefully, as parking is located at the top of the village.
