Bodmin & Wenford Steam Railway

Bodmin & Wenford Steam Railway

The Bodmin and Wenford Railway is a heritage railway tucked away in the Cornish countryside. If you’ve never been before, it’s a great place to experience old steam trains in action, take in some lovely views, and maybe learn a bit about local railway history along the way.

The journey:

  • Bodmin General,
  • Coleslogget Halt,
  • Bodmin Parkway,
  • Boscarne Junction,
  • Return

You can ride the trains, explore the stations, and there are usually a few special events happening throughout the year, things like steam galas, themed days, and seasonal trips.

There’s also a small shop and café at the main station, and the whole thing is run by a really dedicated team of staff and volunteers who care deeply about keeping the railway alive. If you love steam trains and fancy stepping back in time I can highly recommend taking a trip on the Bodmin & Wenford Steam Railway.
