The Swan Hotel
Right in the heart of Wadebridge, The Swan Hotel began life in the 1830s as The Commercial Hotel, built by the Molesworth family to serve the newly opened Bodmin and Wadebridge railway, one of the UK’s first passenger lines.
The building’s mix of classical and gothic Victorian details, arched windows, dormers, and heavy chimneys still gives it a distinctive presence on Molesworth Street. Today it’s a newly refurbished, family-friendly town centre pub with rooms, and a handy stop-off for anyone walking or cycling the Camel Trail, which runs right through town.
