Mevagissey is famous for its twin harbour and its incredibly tight one-way system. If you are visiting for the day, the best advice is to stop at the first large car park you see on the left-hand side as you enter the valley.
Driving through the village centre to look for spaces is widely discouraged (and often impossible for larger vehicles) as the streets narrow significantly near the harbour.

- Best for Stress-Free Parking (Recommended): Willow Car & Coach Park. The largest and most accessible car park. It is located on the left as you drive in, just a 5-minute flat walk to the harbour.
- Best for Short Stays (Council): Sunny Corner (Valley Road). A smaller council-run car park on the right-hand side, slightly closer to the centre.
- Best for Harbour Views (Risky): Harbour Parking. Located right on the quay. Spectacular views, but requires navigating the tight one-way system through the village centre.

These car parks are located on the main approach road (B3273). They are the safest options for day visitors.
Willow Car & Coach Park

Best For: Everyone. It is the “default” car park for the village. It is privately run, has plenty of space, and avoids the narrow village streets entirely. It also allows overnight parking for motorhomes (check signage).

Capacity: ~70 spaces
Best For: Shorter visits. It is a Council-run car park (JustPark app) located just opposite the Willow car park. It is slightly smaller but often has turnover.

Warning: Access to these car parks involves driving through the village’s one-way system. Roads are extremely narrow.
Church Street Short Stay

Capacity: ~25 spaces
Best For: Very quick stops. Located right in the heart of the village. It is convenient but tiny and often full. We do not recommend trying to park here in peak summer.

Best For: The brave! You park actually on the harbour walls. The view is unbeatable, but getting there involves driving through crowds of pedestrians and very tight corners. It is often full by mid-morning.
