Newquay is a sprawling town, and “parking in Newquay” isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution. The town is split into distinct zones: the Town Centre (for shops and the harbour), Fistral Beach (for surfing), and the outlying beaches like Porth and Lusty Glaze.

A word of warning: Newquay has a mix of Council and private car parks. The private ones (especially at Fistral) use strict ANPR camera systems, so ensure you enter your registration correctly and do not overstay by even a minute.

Our Top Picks

Save your legs and your wallet by choosing the right spot for your day.

  • Best for Town & Towan Beach: The Manor Car Park. The most central point. Perfect for the high street, the aquarium, and walking down to the harbour.
  • Best for Surfing (Fistral): Fistral Beach Car Park. Located right on the beach. Warning: Strict enforcement. Read the signs carefully.
  • Best Value (Long Stay): Mount Wise Car Park. Stunning views over the town and usually cheaper/quieter, but involves a walk down the hill.

Town Centre Council Car Parks

These are operated by Cornwall Council and are generally the safest bet for day trips. You can use the ‘JustPark’ app here.
