Polruan

Polruan is a small, unspoiled fishing village on the Fowey Estuary, its steep, narrow streets tumbling down to a working harbour directly opposite Fowey, reached easily by a short passenger ferry across the water.

Beyond the harbour, the village offers a quieter, more low key alternative to Fowey itself, with excellent coast path walking toward Polperro and Lansallos, and a genuine, unpolished character that many visitors miss entirely.
