Parking at The Lizard is a choice between convenience and cost. The National Trust car park at the very tip offers incredible access but can be pricey for non-members. The village green offers a cheaper, community-run alternative, but it involves a 10-15 minute walk down to the sea.

If you are visiting Kynance Cove nearby, be aware that the car park there is tidal in terms of visitors—it fills up rapidly by mid-morning.

Our Top Picks

Save time by heading straight to the car park that matches your plans.

  • Best for The Point (National Trust): Lizard Point Car Park. Located right at the lighthouse. It is the closest you can get to the sea. Free for members, but charges apply for non-members.
  • Best for Village & Pubs: Lizard Village Green. A large grassy area in the centre of the village. It operates on a donation basis (honesty box) and is surrounded by the pubs and gift shops.
  • Best for Scenery: Kynance Cove Car Park. Just a short drive away. It is arguably the most beautiful car park in Cornwall, sitting high on the cliffs above the cove.
