Parking in Coverack is simple, affordable, and largely community-run. Unlike many other coastal villages, you won’t find aggressive enforcement cameras here; instead, the car parks rely on honesty boxes, with funds going towards the upkeep of local facilities like the public toilets.
The best advice is to park at the first car park you see on the left (North Corner) as you descend the hill. Driving right through to the harbour is possible, but the spaces there are very limited and the road is tight.
Our Top Picks
Your choice is effectively between the “top” of the village or the “bottom” by the harbour.
- Best for Beach & Easy Access (The Main Hub): North Corner Car Park. The primary car park for the village. It is located on the approach road, right next to the beach and the public toilets. It is the most stress-free option.
- Best for Harbour Views: Dolor Point Car Park. A small car park located at the very end of the village, past the Paris Hotel. It offers stunning views but has limited capacity and requires driving through the narrow village street.
- Best for Quick Stops: Roadside Parking (Limited). There are a few spaces along the sea wall as you drive in, but these are often full. Be careful of the tide if you park on the slipway areas!
Village & Harbour Parking
Both main car parks are run by the Parish Council or local community groups.

Dolor Point (Harbour)
Postcode: TR12 6TQ
Capacity: Small (~20 spaces)
Best For: The Paris Hotel, the harbour, and Roskilly’s ice cream. It is right at the end of the road.
Warning: This car park also uses an honesty box. It fills up very early in summer. If it is full, turning around can be tricky, so check the “Car Park Full” signs before driving all the way through.
