Lately, I’ve been spending several hours tracking the Humpback Whales and dolphins that have been visiting West Cornwall, drawn by the plentiful fish in the area.
St Ives Bay has been a hotspot for activity, but I decided to head to Lands End for a change of scenery. After a couple of hours of patient watching, a Humpback Whale finally appeared on the horizon, breaking the calm of the winter sea.
This video brings together footage captured over a few days in early February 2023. Many of the shots were taken from over a mile away on windy days, so I’ve used software to stabilise the footage and bring the action closer, all while keeping the natural perspective intact.
