B iCycle GPS
An iPhone App ! Although this app was developed for cycling, the developer of this website uses it whilst in his wheelchair when out and about in detailing where his location and the route to a specific location, as it details footpaths, as well as roads etc., therefore of use to both manual wheelchair and scooter users. At the time of inclusion the cost is 5.99 and suitable for iPhone OS 3.0 +. No point in getting lost, so this app is useful. It monitors where you are located on your route and you can zoom in on your route whilst on your travels.
Hospitals - Find your nearest
Finds your nearest hospital in a single tap, detailing address and contact entails with large type distance in miles. Has received awards and featured in magazines. Compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch, requires WiFi connection
Pharmacies - find within UK
Find your nearest pharmacies and chemist's detailing the distance from your location, the address and contact details, plus walking and driving directions via Google maps. For iPod Touch and iPhone with OS 2.2 or later, most accurate results from iPhone 3G and 3G-S with WiFi
Pill Reminder Pro
Reminds you with PUSH alerts of when to take your pills. Tracks each of your medications by name, dosage and frequency to take.
One point to remember when entering the dates and times taken for each pill, when you enter a time and osage, remember to save each time your enter, otherwise it won't remember.
As it uses PUSH technology, you need to to be in a WiFi reception area to receive the notifications though.
Pity it isn't a stand-alone App, as if it were, then little or no WiFi reception wouldn't matter.

Toilet Finder WC
WC ToiletFinder is quite a good app for any disabled persons mobile, as it details a number of toilets in the area you are located via GPS and although provides the distance in Km's, it does state the town and you can view upon maps for their actual locations. The information contained does rely upon people reporting a location, but doesn't detail if those available include disabled toilets though.

Yes!, find a toilet in London. Also available as an App for the iPhone too !, therefore no getting cut short again, as now you have no excuse !, especially as of the day of insertion the app is FREE for the iPhone !
Pity it doesn't yet state if disabled toilets are available at each location though, maybe this will be included in any updates

The developers state that the application data is supplied by the UK's Health and Social Care Information Centre and covers 99% of NHS dental surgeries in England. Details distance from your location in miles, together with practice name, address and route from your location, via Google maps. Compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch 3.0 or later
